Applications are now closed for the globalFEST Touring Fund (gFTF) .

About

In recognition that world music tours are often inhibited by high start-up costs in the US, the gFTF awards grants in the range of $1,000 - $4,000 to offset budget shortfalls for upcoming tours that bring gF artists to at least one new market (city). These grants provide crucial funding directly to gF artists to perform in new markets and to develop new audiences in the United States. This additional support can be critical to their ongoing success following their participation at gF. Since 2011, gF has awarded $109,000 to 33 groups or 200+ individual artists.

The gFTF is open by application to all artists who have performed at the globalFEST flagship festival in New York City from 2004-2019.

To qualify, the proposed tours must include a minimum of two public performances in two different markets. This can include concerts in theaters, concert halls, performing arts centers, clubs, showcase events and/or festivals. Please note: gFTF will support actual travel and touring costs only (download the program RFP for details).  gFTF cannot fund artist fees, however artist fees must be included in the tour budget in your application.
